Galleon Supplies is committed to protecting and preserving the environment by proactively sourcing products and stationary from manufacturers with positive green policies.
Catalogues, Invoices and Delivery Notes
All of Galleon Supplies catalogues, invoices and delivery notes will now carry the FSC logo (Forestry Stewardship Council), certifying that the paper has come from a FSC approved managed forest.
Recycled Products
The recycled products within our non-branded range are manufactured using 100% recycled raw material, which means that the product is kinder to the environment. The cores in the towel and tissue products are also made from 100% recycled material.The use of recycled products also reduces waste in land fill sites and the subsequent production of methane gas which adds carbon to the atmosphere.
Pure Tissue Products
Within our range of we also sell pure pulp products. The raw material for the pure pulp product is selected from mills that use sustainable forests whose stringent environmental policy promises that for every one tree cut down, three new trees are planted thus adhering to environmental protection and improving the carbon footprint.
Kimberly Clark & The FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council)
Kimberly Clark has initiated and completed a comprehensive life-cycle assessment of tissue products, and began to carry the Forest Stewardship Council label on tissue products in the U.K. Kimberly Clark continued to work on our long-term goal of sourcing 100 percent of our virgin wood fibre from certified suppliers. In 2007, 97 percent of our fibre suppliers were certified.
